Jason Beveridge, represented by solicitor Clive Hill, pleaded guilty to driving while suspended and prolonged/sustained loss of traction.
The offence occurred on November 1 last year when Beveridge was driving a Mitsubishi Magna around south Canowindra.
According to the police statement tendered at court, when the car was traveling along Icely Street the driver pulled the hand break causing the vehicle to slide and lose traction. A number of concerned residents who witnessed the erratic driving contacted police.
He was picked up by police about 7.15pm that night at home on Ferguson Street in Cowra.
Beveridge admitted to driving the vehicle in south Canowindra and was arrested.
Solicitor Clive Hill said his client’s “situation” is completely different to when the offence occurred.
“The group he was hanging around with in Canowindra led him to shenanigans that led him to police.
“He’s been under the microscope of police in Canowindra for a long time and under close scrutiny,” Mr Hill said.
Beveridge was disqualified from driving for three years at Orange Local Court on November 9, 2015.
Magistrate Dare imposed a further two years’ suspension to begin when the current suspension expires.
