The issue was one of a number the students raised with Cabonne Shire Council.
The students, along with thanking council for Youth Week, also suggested that the wall of a shelter at the skate park should be panted and that a source for drinking water should also be available at the skate park.
The students suggested to councillors that they would also like to have more gardens in public places in Canowindra.
Cabonne later voted to include this issue for consideration in the Village Enhancement Program.
The issue, raised by the students for the need of lighting or a skylight in the public toilet at Morris Park will also become part of consideration in the Village Enhancement Program.
The captains told councillors the town’s Blue Jacket lookout is run down and needs better facilities at the top and landscaping of approaches.
