They’ve swept all who’ve come before them so far but when CYMS’ Wylie Sutton and Nick Murphy and Bloomfield’s Callum Johnson and Kaden Williams head to New Zealand, they know they’re in for the toughest test of their burgeoning careers.

The Orange quartet starred as their Group 10 under 13s went unbeaten through the Western Rams’ junior representative cluster at Dubbo’s Caltex Park earlier this month.
Now they’ll test themselves on the international stage.
“It’s the same side that went to the Dubbo cluster, that we won,” Johnson explained.
“You get picked from club footy … the under 13s do this tour every year.”
“We were five from five (in Dubbo),” Williams smiled.
“It’ll be a pretty big challenge though,” Murphy added.
The quartet flies out with their Group 10 side on September 21, spending nine days on the north island and playing three games along the way against Te Atatu Roosters, Port Chevalier Pirates and Bay of Plenty.
Fortunately for the side, Williams has some experience with their opposition. He watched on when his older brother Addison toured in 2015.
“We’re expecting big, big players,” Sutton laughed.
“They were big boys,” Williams confirmed.
“But they got tired pretty easily too because they were so big.”
“We probably won’t be able to size up with them, so we’ll try and use our speed,” Johnson said.
Until then though, the four will focus on their clubs’ campaigns.
Sutton and Murphy, who play wing and fullback respectively, are looking inspire their CYMS side to a finals berth.
Johnson and Williams, a hooker and back-rower respectively, are flying high with their Tigers side on top of the table.
“We’re equal first, actually,” Williams said.
“Well, we’re first on for and against. We just run in the tries,” Johnson laughed.
The side, and players, are looking for sponsors to help with the cost of the tour. Anyone interested should contact the players’ respective clubs.
