At the Chamber's annual general meeting last week Cr West asked Chamber members to lobby Cowra's State and Federal members to provide funding for works in Kendal Street.
An application for funding of the work to the Federal Government was recently rejected although Cr West said the work would proceed.
"To see your membership numbers growing is a credit to you all," Cr West said.
"From a council perspective I would like to say, thank you for what you are doing.
"You can be part of the problem or part of the solution.
"We are all part of the solution.
“There are areas where we share common goals and can work closely and I am happy to hear from you where we can increase that.”
Cr West encouraged the chamber to have a say on issues such as power prices, the town’s CBD and low level bridge crossing.
"Energy prices are not just killing ordinary mums and dads., businesses are getting belted too,” he said.
"We can advocate together on the CBD, we are chasing tenders now for someone to do the footpath.
"We were disappointed last week with news we didn't get a infrastructure grant from the Federal Government, the Business Chamber can lobby the local member on our behalf and tell him how important it is for the work to be done.
"Also coming up is a report on the low level bridge crossing of the Lachlan River.
"Again the Business Chamber might have a role to play in terms of, if a new bridge is required, where it might go and how it might move traffic around,” Cr West said.
