The meeting will provide Canowindra ratepayers with an opportunity to hear from the candidates and to raise issues of local interest and concern.
Candidates Anthony Durkin, Cheryl Newsom, Kevin Walker and Jenny Weaver will be attending the meeting at the Services and Citizens Club on Wednesday, August 23 starting at 5.30pm.
Meeting convenor Ross Cleary said as well as asking questions from the floor at the meeting, you are also invited to pre-submit questions, which could be to specific candidates, or general questions to all candidates.
These questions can be left in an envelope at Canowindra Newsagency, or at Adloyalty (next to Trading Post), or they may be emailed to indigopark@live.com.au.
This will help the candidates in their preparation for the meeting.
This meeting will be facilitated, and first preference for questions will be given to pre-submitted questions with your name attached.
All community members are invited to attend.

Referendum
Cabonne residents and ratepayers will also vote on a referendum question when they go to the polls.
Electors will be asked to decide whether the council reduces its councillor numbers from 12 to nine for the council’s next term in three years’ time.
Eligible voters must vote YES if they support or NO if they oppose the question.
If the referendum question is passed, the reduction in councillor numbers will take effect from the Local Government elections in 2020.
