The show committee have worked extremely hard in the past 12 months to increase the attractiveness of the show and once again much of the action will feature around the showground pavilion.
The Cobley Pavilion always has a productive, beautiful and creative representation of a wide range of exhibits from our community.
Section O: Dairy, Fruit & Garden Produce has Classes in hen, turkey and duck eggs, citrus fruits, decorative arrangement of Fruit in a Basket, vegetables, herbs, largest pumpkin and for under 12 years the very popular Animal Made from Fruit or Animal Made from Vegetable also a Bunch of Spinach/Silverbeet or Rhubarb.
Section P: Home Mades has Classes in Cakes eg Special or Group Fruit Cakes (please note Special Rich Fruit Cake recipe is printed in Show Schedule), Sponge Sandwich made with Fielder’s Cornflour, Banana, Sultana, Ginger, Marble, Carrot, Orange, Mud Cakes, Butter or Chocolate Butter Cakes, Chocolate/Plain or Coffee Sponge, Fruit Loaf, Date Roll, Plum Pudding, Cream Puffs, Lamingtons, Meringues, Muffins, Slices, Tarts, Scones, Decorated Cakes, plus for under 16 years, 9-12 years, 5-8 years and Pre-School Age for a range of Biscuits, Scones, Slice, Cakes, Coconut Ice, Pikelets, Decorated Cakes also Cupcakes and the very popular Chocolate or Butter Cake Made by a Man is available.
Section R: Preserves includes Jams, Marmalades, Conserve, Jellies, Lemon Butter, Sauces, Relish, Pickles, Chutney, Mayonnaise, Preserves plus specialties for Diabetics.
The Show Schedule provides details of regulations applicable to each Section and Class and includes entry forms.
The Show Office, at the Canowindra NRMA Office, will be open a week before the Show.
