The gardens on display are; Nola Meggitt with a delightful mix of natives and exotics, Sue and Will Jonhson’s electric rural garden predominately native sheltering a straw bale house, Eric and Leone Toole a predominantly, but not exclusively, easy care native garden creating a bush setting in town, Gwyneth McCarron who’s garden embraces the theme “Gardening is a journey not a destination”, Anna and Sam Stranger who’s large rural garden encompassing the theme of survival of the fittest, Eileen and Bill Wilson who’s open garden with cottage garden beds incorporates survivors of bygone days and Julie and Pete Middleton with a haphazard, ever evolving country garden planted at whim.
The day run’s from 9am-4pm, admission is $20 for seven gardens (Children under 18 free). Tickets available at Canowindra High School Office before the day, or at gardens one to four and seven.
