Sunday’s Canowindra Clay Target Club meeting saw 38 shooters compete over two events including a Champion of Champions event.

A large number of very good shooters from across the region were in attendance, resulting in some excellent scores across the board.
The first event was a 25 target double barrel which saw a number of first place qualifying results which were split in cash divide.
1st AA: J Nash, G Sinclair, R Piotrowski, A Hurford, D Burt, B Heaslip, J Finn.
1st A: K Dowton, J Colgan, K Hunt, J Sciuto.
1st B: R Nash.
1st C: M Burt, B Dean.
2nd B: P Thompson, K Elias
The day’s second event was a 75 target Champion of Champions (25 target double barrel, 25 target single barrel and 25 target point score), resulting in lots of red paint up on the scoreboard.
Bathurst-based shooter Grady Evans clinched victory, edging out Richard Piotrowski in a playoff.
Col O’Leary won A grade and Roy Nash took out B grade.

The High Gun winner for the October shoot went to Australian representative Richard Piotrowski, who managed to shoot a perfect score all day.
The club’s members have been busy throughout the past month attending a number of meets at nearby clubs but have not struck luck.
Next month's shoot will be held on Sunday, November 19 at 12pm for a barbecue lunch.
Contested events will consist of a 25 target double barrel, 50 target single barrel continental and a 25 target handicap.
