Canowindra has two competitive junior teams playing this weekend.
Our level two team (under 12s) will be playing at the Canowindra High School against Grenfell Thunder while our level three team (under 15s) will be playing against Grenfell Eels at Clyburn Oval.
We ask all cricketers to be at the ground at 8.30am ready to commence at 9am. We wish all our teams the best of luck in their first game.
Special thanks to our coaches this year in under 12s we have Tony Grant and under 15s is Jarrod Breen and Steve Fisher.
It is important we give our coaches support on game day with assistance with scoring and team organisation.
Training for both our under 12s and under 15s teams will be Wednesday afternoon commencing from 3.30pm.
If there are any players who are still interested or keen to find out more about cricket, this is the perfect time to come along and have a go.
With our level one players (6,7,8,9 year olds) who are just starting off in the game and learning the skills, we invite you to come along on a Thursday afternoon at Clyburn Oval to participate in some cricket based activities.
Young up and coming Canowindra cricketer Jamie Austin will be assisting our junior players on this afternoon commencing at 4pm.
There is no travel involved in this level of cricket with mini games and skill development in the areas of catching, throwing, batting and bowling all done on the Thursday afternoon.
All young players welcome.
Good luck Canowindra Junior Cricket teams.
