Kennedy, a Canowindra Public student representing Western, and Grant, a St Edward’s Catholic School student representing Polding, competed in field events during the two-day carnival on October 18 and October 19.

Kennedy chalked up to personal bests in the 11 years’ boys high jump and long jump.

He finished eighth in the final of the high jump, recording a height of 1.45m, and jumped 4.50m in the long jump, but missed out on the finals.

Grant impressed in his discus event, finishing seventh in the state for boys aged 12 to 13 years and throwing 35.17m.

Both schools congratulate Will and Bailey on their achievements and wish them all the best in future events.
