A former Grenfell Goanna, Barclay is a PE teacher at Grenfell and has had a long involvement with rugby league including time on the Central Coast and Sydney.
It’s unclear at this stage whether Barclay will play many games, or at all in 2018.
It’s shaping as a big season for the Tigers with the return of a number of players including the Bowman brothers, Dan and Brad, and Kain Earsman who had a stint at Orange CYMS.
Stuart Scott and Lachlan Watson have also reportedly agreed to return to the Tigers, and will likely fill keys roles as outside backs.
The Tigers started preparations on Friday afternoon with about 22 seniors and juniors attending a training run at Clyburn Oval.
Training will continue to December.
The club’s annual general meeting is on November 18 at the Royal Hotel.
The Tigers missed out on the finals in the 2017 season, however its youth league made a late surge to almost qualify for the decider.
First grade star Jayden Brown took out the Woodbridge Cup’s Alex Armstrong Medal.
