Hospital receives generous gifts

On Thursday, May 11 the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary presented equipment to the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

The Canowindra Lions Club donated $6,000 to the Auxiliary which enabled them to purchase Chair Weighing Scales and a Recliner chair for the Ambulatory room. Daryl Fliedner, President of the Lions Club said his committee was pleased to be able to support the local hospital and the Auxiliary.

The Middleton family donated to the Auxiliary following the passing of David Middleton, and the Auxiliary purchased a Consultation Bed for the Ambulatory room. Mrs Joyce Middleton in an emotional and touching statement said that “David was always relaxed and comfortable being in his home town hospital with staff he knew looking after his needs”, Joyce and the family were happy to contribute to the hospital and thanked the Auxiliary for their assistance.

Health Manager, Janice Rumph, thanked the Auxiliary, Lions and the Middleton Family for their generosity.
