Squash
Despite last year being focused on study, Canowindra's Rohan Toole has managed to achieve his best world ranking in the Professional Squash Association's (PSA) list announced earlier this year.
His February 2017 ranking was 211th.
With limited opportunity to play during 2016, his PSA highlights included being a quarter finalist in the Northern Territory Open and being one of only three Australians to make the final 16 in the Australian Open.
Outside PSA events, Toole was selected in the Australian University team for the World Games, where he led them to a seventh place finish. He was also runner up in the Northern Territory under 23s PSA event and the New Caledonia under 23s International.
As well as full time study at Newcastle University in 2017, Toole intends to continue with his professional squash career.
In addition he has taken on a role as an assistant coach with the NSW Bluetongues Junior Squash team which will see him developing the state's young players through training camps as well as supporting them in state and national competition.
