Canowindra based Cabonne Shire Councillors Kevin Walker and Anthony Durkin are expected to officially nominate for election before Wednesday’s deadline for nominations.

Cheryl Newsom and Jenny Weaver have already nominated.
At 3pm Tuesday only eight nominations had been received.
Mr Durkin joined the list of candidates for the council at lunchtime.
"I'm definitely standing," Cr Durkin said last week
Deputy Cabonne mayor Kevin Walker confirmed on Tuesday morning he would also be standing and had heard of others who indicated they would nominate.
Nominations close at noon on Wednesday.
Meanwhile Cabonne Mayor Ian Gosper received a special Emeritus Mayor Award from Local Government on Tuesday to recognise his outstanding service to the people of the shire.
The President of Local Government NSW Cr Keith Rhoades presented the award to Cr Gosper at a ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.
Service awards were also presented to Crs Kevin Walker, Geoff Dean, Anthony Durkin and Sharon Wilcox.
Former councillors Janelle Culverson and Lachie MacSmith, who retired earlier this year, also received service awards.
