An inspection confirmed that approximately 35 metres of expansion joints in the pool had failed, Cabonne Shire Councillors were told during July.
“Due to ongoing repairs at the Canowindra Pool we are unable to set a date to open just yet,” a post on the Canowindra Swimming Pool’s Facebook page said.
“But we are aiming to be open by mid October for the 2017/2018 season.”
During July it was reported that the works would involve emptying the pool, removing tiles either side of the failed joint, removal of a one hundred and sixty millimetre wide section of concrete slab centred over the expansion joint forty millimetres deep, the application of an adhesive, the placing of a rubber mat material, application of a bonded flexible material up to the original height and then relaying the tiles.
The Canowindra Swimming Pool Facebook post also encouraged people to contact the Canowindra Swimming Pool about purchasing season passes.
