Mt Hotham Resort chief executive Jon Hutchins said it had been the biggest season since 2000.
He said the resort saw 473 centimetres of overall snowfall and had a current natural base of 120cm.
“We endured three blizzards this year, and the result was great snow, great skiing, great conditions,” he said.
Mr Hutchins said the resort was pleased its alternative travel routes worked so visitors could avoid being trapped in the heavy storms.
Falls Creek and Mount Hotham both extended their operating season to make the most of the falls.
Falls Creek resort declared it the best season in decades and the deepest snow in 17 years.
The resort saw an 11 per cent increase in visitors in September.
Falls Creek said goodbye to the 2017 snow season after 121 days open, 111 days of terrain park and final natural snow depths of 125cm.
