Adam will be responsible for all operational ballooning activities during the 2018 Canowindra International Balloon Challenge.
Adam is well known in the ballooning community and obtained his pilots licence in 1993.
He knows the Canowindra area well having grown up in the town and flying in the Canowindra skies since 1979.
He has organised national championships and has been deputy director and jury president at national championships, as well sitting on the jury internationally.
Adam has also flown in competitions in many countries around the world and is passionate about competition ballooning.
Over the course of his ballooning life he has also served as president of the Australian Ballooning Federation and been active at committee level as well.
He is also one host of the wildly popular ballooning podcast – Aunty Monkey.
Also on board is Karen Clarke, from Gooloogong, as our treasurer and bookkeeper.
Karen’s experience in this area will take a huge load off the rest of the board.
Finally, the most exciting appointment, is that of Paul Petrehn from the USA.
Paul is the director of the Albuquerque Balloon fiesta – the largest balloon event in the world.
He has both competed in international competitions and directed and has many years of ballooning experience.
The Board of the CCI welcome Adam, Paul and Karen to the team and look forward to working with them.
