Colts put 178 on the board after winning the toss and batting.
A strong final 20 overs boosted the hosts from 2-60 at the break with Koby Johnstone doing most of the damage blasting 48 not out.
Peter Yelland scored a valuable 51 at the top of the order before departing in the 33rd over.
Peter Guthrie was the best for Canowindra picking up 3-29 off seven overs while Brendan Traves bowled economically finishing with 0-20 off 10 overs.
Canowindra lost three early wickets and were struggling 3-33 but a 77-run partnership between Craig Carpenter (59) and Brendan Traves (37) revived Canowindra’s hopes.
Carpenter was caught in the 27th over and Traves followed in 32nd with the score at 6-126.
Some late hitting from Jacob Carmody got the visitors to within 15 runs needed in the final over, with just one wicket remaining, however a run out with two balls left ended the innings on 170.
Koby Johnstone capped off a great game finishing with 4-55 from 9.4 having bowled the final over.
It was Parkes Colts’ second victory against Canowindra this season with the other match a wash out.
Three rounds remain in the competition before finals.
Meanwhile, Sam McNaught blasted 94 to help Valleys register a big win against Cambridge Cats on Saturday.
Played at Holman Oval, McNaught led Valleys to a mammoth 7-222 from their 40 overs before picking up the wicket of Anthony Heraghty (3) in Cats’ unsuccessful run chase ending at 8-156.
McNaught opened the innings and got Valleys off to a flying start.
The green and golds entered drinks at 2-116 with Kane Schofield (19) and Jacob McNaught (27) the two wickets down.
McNaught departed in the 28th over just six runs short of a century.
The runs continued with Sam Long (17 not out) and Jackson Moodie (28 not out) moving Valleys beyond 200 finishing the innings at 7-222.
Cats’ Anthony Riach was the pick of the bowlers registering 4-50 off 10 overs.
In reply, Cats lost four wickets before 20 overs and struggled to get close to the winning total from there.
Mitch Cambourn (50) and Shane Jones (33) showed some resistance in the middle order but the Valleys bowling restricted Cats to 8-156 from the 40 overs.
New-ball bowler Ben Cole (4-37) was the best for Valleys with the ball while McNaught also contributed with the ball finishing with 1-23 off nine overs.
