Halfback Jayden Brown skippered the outfit, barnstorming front-rower Nathan Whatman started and Lindsay Thurgate was named 18th man for clashes against Group 10 and Castlereagh at Bathurst’s St Pat’s Sports Complex.
Group 10 proved too good in the opening 40-minute fixture running out easy 34-0 winners before Castlereagh kept Woodbridge Cup winless winning 30-10.
Group 11 went on to beat Group 10 12-4 in the under-23s decider.
Woodbridge Cup’s under-18s side included Canowindra Tigers juniors Morgan Fuller, Will Makie, Ryan Kelly and Dan Edwards.
The 18s suffered a 36-0 loss against Group 10 in the opening clash before also going to down to Castlereagh 28-14. Those players will return to club land this week as the Tigers travelling to Grenfell to take on the Goannas in round four Woodbridge Cup action.
The Tigers had the bye on the weekend and are aiming to remain unbeaten.
