Organisers are expecting more the 200 people to attend the Canowindra Tigers 1965 and 1968 under-18s sides reunion at the Canowindra Bowling Club on Saturday night.

The 1965 premiership winning team was the first Canowindra Rugby League Club under-18s side to win a Group 11 title.
The decider was played against Dubbo CYMS at Parkes on September 25, 1965.
The Tigers produced a stunning second-half comeback recovering from a 7-3 deficit at halftime to win 19-7.
Paul O’Neil and Jack Earsman scored doubles and Barry Middleton grabbed a crucial second-half try while Len Ryan kicked goals.
President at the time Jim Toohey presented the premiership winning players with blazers at the Black and Gold victory ball on Friday night, October 22 1965 at the Community Centre.
The team was coached by Peter Duffy and captain was Len Ryan.
The 1968 victory was against Dubbo Macquarie. The Tigers won a low scoring thriller 5-2 with a Robert Sutton try and Trevor Simpson conversion the difference.
This Saturday’s reunion will mark the first reunion for both teams. Organisers have said that players who have passed away will be acknowledged at the evening function.
Reunion celebrations commence at 10am on Saturday with nine holes of social golf at Canowindra Golf Club.
On Saturday afternoon, the Canowindra Tigers are hosting Manildra Rhinos at Tom Clyburn Oval with first grade commencing at 3pm.
The evening function begins at 6.30pm and costs $30 per head which includes admission and a meal, all payable at the door. Catering will be provided by Tom Jeffs.
Sunday morning if numbers are suitable the Tigers committee will serve bacon and eggs and coffee at the ground at $7 per head.
All interested present and past players, committee members and supporters are welcome at any or all of the weekends events.
The club is also gearing up for its 100th year celebrations in 2020.
