Tracy Neale “balled her eyes” when she got a call from a neighbour saying he had found her chihuahua, Ellie, after she had been missing for six days.
“The man who found her put a post up on Facebook and soon everyone was calling and messaging me.
“They had all seen the Daily Advertiser’s article and I was so grateful for the community banding together to try and help me.
“We are so happy to have Ellie home with the pups, safe and sound.”
The four-year-old chihuahua recently gave birth to three puppies, which are only one-week-old and need their mother to survive.
Mrs Neale said she can sleep soundly again knowing her Ellie is home.
