President Peggy Beath presented a framed certificate of thanks to Breanna on Monday afternoon at the Canowindra Health Centre.
Ms Beath said the money isn’t going towards anything in particular, and is very valuable money for the Canowindra Hospital.
Breanna raised the funds through raffles at the Cargo Store through a number of raffles.
The Hospital Auxiliary was established in 1934 and is seeking more volunteers to join the 16 members who are on board at the moment.
Ms Jenny Weaver, a volunteer of the Hospital Auxiliary, said it’s hugely important to keep the organisation up and running.
“We need some members. It’s important we keep the Auxiliary going for the sake of the hospital itself,” Ms Weaver said.
“If people want a hospital they need to play a part too.”
Ms Weaver said the Auxiliary is perfect for people who have retired or are new to town and looking for ways to get involved in the community.
