The Tigers scored eight tries to the Bears’ two in the round seven Woodbridge Cup clash at Young, Canowindra registering a second straight victory after bouncing back from two consecutive defeats by accounting for Condobolin last week.
The result sees the Tigers placed fifth ahead of this Sunday’s clash at home against ladder leaders Trundle Boomers.
Against Burrangong, the Tigers laid on three tries and penalty goal to lead 20-6 as the Bears managed a late try before the break.
Canowindra resumed stronger and piled on 30 points in a second half romp of the Bears.
Dan Madden scored a second half hat-trick to continue his strong form this season, and Brenton Clements, Jayden Brown, Kain Earsman, Himah Alu and Marika Koroivui scored one try each.
While Matt Mclean had an outstanding day with the boot.
Jayden Brown picked up three points for his efforts, Dan Madden grabbed two and Kain Earsman registered one. Brad Bowman was recognised as players player. The Tigers return to Tom Clyburn Oval this week to take on the undefeated Boomers.
