Cargo has bombed a chance to keep in touch with the Woodbridge Cup top five after squandering a 22-12 lead to go down 25-24 against derby rivals Canowindra last Saturday.

Heading into the long weekend round three points adrift from the top five, the Heelers now find themselves five points back from finals contention after relinquishing a 10-point lead late in the game.
The Blue Heelers are on eight competition points while fifth-placed Canowindra and the fourth-placed Eugowra Gold Eagles are both on 13 points.
In other games the Boomers won an entertaining game 34-14 with the Rams. Eugowra, likewise, was pushed hard by the Burrangong Bears but proved too good to solidify a top five spot with a 40-28 win.
In league tag, Cargo had a 46-4 win over Canowindra, while Condobolin beat Trundle 24-4, Eugowra won 36-0 over Burrangong and Manildra won 44-6 over Peak Hill, Grenfell had the bye.
Manildra and Canowindra were both winners in youth league.

The money that they give Canowindra Junior Rugby League goes towards paying for jerseys for 2 seasons. At the end of the season, these are then given to the players as a keep sake of their glory days playing for the Tigers. The committee, the parents and most importantly, the kids are grateful.
The club committee wants to ensure that these local businesses get the recognition for their contribution because they are buying the kids of our community a chance to play a sport that they love in their own community that is steeped in tradition.
