Not many couples can say they have reached their 65th wedding anniversary, but for Thomas Reginald Watt and Patricia Fay Watt (nee Grimshaw) it’s something they can proudly announce.

The couple will be celebrating their anniversary on Wednesday, having married on July 4, 1953.
Reg was born Thomas Reginald Watt on March 18, 1931, while Pat, born Patricia Fay Grimshaw, entered the world on December 5, 1934 at Canowindra.
Reg went to school at Blossum Vale near Woodstock before attending Moorbel Public School. Pat was also schooled at Moorbel by the Sisters of St Joseph.
The pair married at St Edward’s Catholic Church on July 4, 1953.
The bestman was Brian Grimshaw and Pat’s bridesmaid was Marie Hodder (nee Grimshaw).
Reg and Pat moved to Moorbel in 1955.
They have three children, Debbie, Beau and Gail. They have five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren with another one due in August.
Reg and Pat bought their farm Carlane on Longs Corner Road in 1959. They left the farm and moved to Ryall Street in December 2015 after Reg lost both his legs due to diabetes.
Their grandson Matthew and his family bought the farm.
Reg and Pat will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 4.
