The first of the workshops will be held in Canowindra at the Canowindra Services Club starting at 2pm on Monday, August 13.
“As conditions have deteriorated, Local Lands Services is increasing its response and while it’s not for a great reason, we want to see strong turnouts at these events,” Senior Local Land Services officer Phil Cranney said.
“We will have veterinarians, livestock and pasture experts there for producers who want advice on management decisions.”
The workshops are part of Local Land Services efforts to make it easy for landholders to have face-to-face interaction with staff.
“These events make sure Local Land Services are having meaningful connections with landholders providing them with information and support from other stakeholders in specialist areas.”
Since the beginning of the year, over 2000 landholders have attended 100 Local Land Services workshops, information sessions, ‘smokos’ and ‘cuppas’.
“By having these interactions, we can make sure we are providing landholders with the information and advice they need to manage their farms during these tough conditions.
“Our role at this time remains the same as always – to assist landholders and ensure they have as much support as possible,” he finished.
