Organised by the school’s P and C the School Fun Run event was used to raise funds for a shade cloth over the school’s playground equipment.
Event organiser Alison Stephens said it was a fantastic event with the students raising over $12,000.
“It’s about a $16,000 structure, to cover the equipment,” she said.
“So all the kids got involved, it was one of those events where everyone did a little bit, and together it was a huge achievement.
“Tom Maloney from Year 4 was the highest fundraiser, bringing in $1075, so he’ll have the first pick of prizes.
“The P&C and School love doing fundraiser events the children can be apart of and get enjoyment out of, and we have to give a big thank you to all the parents who came along for the day and helped out with the running of the event,” she said.
