In viticulture, using natural preparations and non-chemical remedies for weed, pest and disease control, soil fertility is maximised.
Soil and vines enter into a harmony which results in the healthiest vines and highest quality wines.
Come along and meet Sam Statham whose family created ‘Rosnay’ in 1997, and produce certified organic wines, olives, and figs.
Certified organic since 1998, the vines and orchards have never been sprayed with harmful chemicals, a family commitment that began with Richard’s father, Clive Statham.
Sam Statham will be joined by Biodynamic Agriculture presenters John Hodgkinson and Shane Joyce who will team up to make this a memorable glimpse into biodynamic winegrowing.
Topics to be covered:-
• biodynamics from vine to bottle;
• pest disease & weed management;
• the biodynamic preparations;
• composting;
• spray equipment and
• under vine management
Rosnay Organic Wines is located on Rivers Road, 5.1kms from the turnoff.
