A MAN reported missing from the Cobar area last week has now been found safe and well.

The 24-year-old man was last seen at the Meadow Glen Rest Area on the Barrier Highway at Cubba, around 60 kilometres west of Cobar on Wednesday
The alert was issued on Thursday evening by police with officers holding concerns for his welfare due to the remote terrain.
Officers from Central North Police District commenced inquiries into the whereabouts of the man.
About 6.35pm on Friday, the man was found safe and well.
NSW Police officers have thanked the media and public for their assistance during the search.
