A wonderful crowd of nearly 100 people celebrated the 2018 CWA Music and Voice Scholarship holders in Canowindra on Sunday, September 9 at the Sunday Serenade.

The program included the stories of the students who received scholarships for 2018 - Jackson Stacey, Maddy Niven and Maisie Harrison - and the 2018 independent judge, Mary-ann Wright.
John Bourke told of CWA sponsorship of his musical ability 80 years ago, and how this positively changed his attitude towards practice and performing.
Our own CWA & Friends Community Choir thrilled the audience and this year's independent judge, Maria Bullock, sang and wowed all.
The 2019 Canowindra CWA Music and Voice Scholarship was launched, and applications are now welcome. Students of Canowindra's schools and music / voice teachers are welcome to apply for the scholarship money to expand their tuition.
Application forms are available from the Canowindra pharmacy or from CWA members, and need to be completed and returned by Friday, November 2.
