Gordi announced on facebook last week that she is “very excited to announce that my dear friend, Julien Baker, and I will be doing a run of solo shows in Australia in Feb! It’s going to be very special”.
“Kicking things off with a little hometown loving in Canowindra,” she added.
Contacted by the Canowindra News Gordi said: I’m very excited to play a show in Canowindra in February.”
“I performed a few years ago at the Gooloogong Log Cabin but I’ve been wanting to come back ever since.
“It’s always a special feeling going back to where everything began.
“Canowindra has always been such a supportive community and I have felt the full weight of that in pursuing my music career.
“I’m very much looking forward to the hometown show,” Gordi said.

The tour will be the first since the release of Baker’s exceptional sophomore album Turn Out The Lights and marks the first time audiences can hear the record live.
Gordi will be performing songs from her sensational 2017 debut Reservoir – an album recorded across Wisconsin, Reykjavik, Los Angeles, New York and Sydney in between a six year medicine degree and international touring.
It’s been a memorable 12 months for Gordi including her crowning in October as the inaugural Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA) songwriter award winner.
The award “recognised a female songwriter or composer who has made extraordinary impact nationally and/or internationally in the past 12 months.
In their inaugural year, the awards aim to celebrate the contributions of women in Australia’s music industry, across various areas of the music business.
The Julien Baker and Gordi tour also includes concerts in Sydney, Byron Bay, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
