As our National Day approaches, celebrate the nation’s diversity and achievements, and join in as a helper to get this day successfully underway.

Australia Day celebrations will be held on Saturday, January 26 in Morris Park commencing at 6pm for 6.30pm.

The day will commence with the Presentation of the Local Australia Day Award for Citizen of the Year, Junior Citizen and Local Group and/or Association Awards.

Competitions on the day will be best decorated Pavlova, kids decorated bikes, decorated paper boomerangs, or make a mini didgeridoo out of a long cardboard tube and bright paints or best decorated sunhat, plus the annual horse race, egg and spoon race, information on these competitions will be available closer to the big day.

There will also be Piñatas for the children to knock around.

The Lions Club BBQ will be in action, but to make the day a real celebration bring along a picnic basket, that would be a lovely way to spend the evening.
