Last Saturday a major singles match was played with David Beath against Cyril Webb. Up to 31 ends David trailed Cyril who led 27-25. Then David scored six shots on the last three ends to win the match 31-27.

A major pairs match was also played with Roger Traves and Peter Taylor against Phil Lees and Westy Wyburn. Roger and Peter won the match.
Last Sunday the third round of pennants was played. The number fours went down to Dubbo Railway ten points to nil while the number sevens had a bye.

The fourth round of pennants will be played. The Number fours play Manildra at home and the number sevens play Manildra at Manildra. Bowlers please check the notice board for the selected teams.
Other Events
Sunday badge draw will be $150 drawn between 5pm and 6pm. Must be in the club to win. Raffles to be drawn at 5.30pm with tickets on sale from 4pm.
Wednesday badge draw will be $200 and Friday badge draw will be $400.

Jill Messenger, Liz Thornberry & Nancy Morrow had an enjoyable day at Orange Newstead's President's Day held on Thursday, 14th March.
The first round of the District Pennants begins on Tuesday, 19th March with the Canowindra number twos playing Cowra's number ones & Canowindra number fours playing Forbes' number fours at home.
Men's Golf
Results
Sunday saw a cooler day with 18 players teeing off. The sponsor for the day was Doug Flannery. All the golfers enjoyed the pin placements put in by Doug. Thank you for supporting the day.
Winner of the day was Bruce 'The Dolphin' Armstrong. Queensland claim 'The Shark'; Canowindra can claim 'The Dolphin'.
Bruce had a net 63. Runner up was Rowley "The Panther" McCall with a net 65.

Although the Little Athletics season in Canowindra concluded at Christmas, a group of Canowindra athletes have been competing across the state.
