Mr Gee took the opportunity to launch the caravan after announcing funding for the Canowindra Showground.
Deputy Prime Minister and National Party leader Michael McCormack joined Mr Gee for the launch, toasting the occasion with a cup of locally produced champagne.
"Mr grandmother's name was Ida, in honour of Ida I'm naming the mobile office after her," Mr Gee said.
"We're going to pop some local champagne and raise our glasses and declare Ida officially open," he said.
"It's five o'clock somewhere in the world," Mr McCormack joked after toasting "Ida" at 9.30am last Thursday.
Mr Gee and Mr McCormack were in Canowindra to announce $250,000 in funding for the Canowindra Showground.
The funding is dependent upon the Coalition being returned to power at Saturday's Federal election.
