It was great to see $7.65 million in combined announcements for our electorate today by the NSW Government for infrastructure and services through Resources for Regions Round 6.

I attended the local announcement last week with Stephanie Cooke MP and local mayors.
A good example that regardless of whether the local state member is a part of the government, progress can and will still happen.
A Seat at the Farming Business Table
Last week I met with Ms Ellen Downes from Canowindra who is a current finalist in the NSW/ACT Agrifutures Rural Women's Award.
She's been focusing on empowering rural women to "take their seat at the farming business table".
Ellen is involved in the non-profit group AgEDGE, which is run by volunteers who help members to navigate the "highs and lows" of agriculture with quarterly meetings to review the performance of their business, set goals and discuss challenges.
A big congratulations to Ellen on becoming an awards finalist - a great accomplishment in itself!
Police Numbers
As we are all aware, we need more police resources in the electorate and the issue cannot be ignored.
When I met with Commissioner Fuller earlier this year he assured me he would look at increasing police resources.
However, I think in light of the continuing incidence of arson, increased police resources now needs to be expedited.
I will continue to represent our community on this important matter, and ensure our police numbers adequately reflect our needs.
Biggest Morning Tea
I know many people took the opportunity last week to attend one of the many "Australia's Biggest Morning Tea" events hosted throughout the region, which raises vital funds for the Cancer Council.
I had the opportunity to meet with the team Wangarang, who were very welcoming. They raised an impressive $480 on the day. Thanks for having me along!
