State's best on show at NSW Poll Dorset championships

Whether it's school students just starting out or the state's best breeders, the NSW Poll Dorset Championships attracted plenty of competition to Cowra.

For the second year in a row, a Hillden ewe took out NSW supreme exhibit, while also picking up Grand Champion Ewe.

Hillden was the most successful exhibitor of the competition, while Armdale Park was awarded the best strike rate, winning nine of the 16 classes they entered. Grand Champion Ram went to Armdale Park.

The junior champion ram was from Valley Vista, with the reserve junior champion from the Scott family's second stud, Valley Vista Park.

This year also saw the return of the schools section, with The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC), College Park Poll Dorset Stud taking on students from Tamworth High School in a number of classes. The 2019 Champion School was awarded to TRAC.

Redline Dorset Horns, West Wyalong won every class they entered in, with the NSW Championships being their first major competition.
