Officers were called to Boorowa Road in Narrawa around 3pm on Sunday, June 9 following reports of a burnt out car in bushland.
"It's believed the car left the roadway, travelled through a paddock, rolled onto its roof and hit a tree before catching alight, possibly some weeks earlier," police said in a statement.
Following inquiries, on June 27 the body was identified as that of 21-year-old Gary Pearce.
