NSW Farmers Federation Orange branch chair Bruce Reynolds said senior representatives of Fortescue Metals would address a meeting in Canowindra on Monday July 29 and in Orange on Tuesday July 30.
The Canowindra meeting will be held from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Canowindra Services Club.
Mr Reynolds said it was expected Fortescue would outline what it intends to do with exploration in the region at the information nights.
"The purpose of the meetings will be to ascertain where current and future exploration activities will be taking place [and] what kind of agreements are in place with landholders," he said.
Mr Reynolds said farmers and residents would be able to express their concerns about the proposals and ask questions to the mining officials.
He said it would also help NSW Farmers discover farmers' concerns about the exploration activities and also what more they wanted to know about their rights and obligations.
Mr Reynolds said people needed to register with NSW Farmers if they were going to attend the meetings.
