This picture overlooking the Belubula river flats, shows just how precious, this river and soil is in this area, where we are in a drought situation.
Our farmers are resilient, hard working people who are the backbone of our community and town.
They use the term Green Gold, and only because of the river and river flats can they still derive an income.
Canowindra is a very special town. Businesses have tough times in drought but are generally ever optimistic.
No one questions opposition and only the best, wisest, survive.
We, in Canowindra need to support our local businesses, save petrol by not travelling far and wide at the drop of a hat.
We are inclined to take good times for granted but when hardship comes country people always band together and help each other.
The application for another service station in Main Street and on border of flood prone river, is not needed, in our small town.
Thank you for you for your attention once again.
