James Vosper, who is president of the Alliance, said the organisation has held several similar events presenting information relevant to growers and farmers.
The Canowindra meeting will be held at Finns Old Store in Gaskill Street from 3pm on Sunday, August 18.
"The purpose of the meeting is to spread awareness of hemp and the markets that exist for it," Mr Vosper told the Canowindra News.
The meeting has been organised by the Alliance through Canowindra farmer Nik Henry.
"This one is aimed at farmers but anyone is welcome to attend," Mr Vosper said of the meeting.
Once you remove the seed off the Industrial Hemp crop, you have the remaining stalk, and with that fibre and hurd there can be seven products; textiles, weed matting, edible bailing twine, insulation ... 'hempcrete', garden mulch and animal bedding.
Local organiser of the meeting, Canowindra farmer Nik Henry will talk at the meeting on the administrative burden and legislative requirements of growing hemp and Alliance secretary Charles Kovess will talk about the vast market opportunities for Industrial Hemp growers.
The AIHA is the peak national body for industrial hemp in Australia.
The Alliance's main goals are to represent the voice of Australian hemp farmers and Australian hemp businesses, to make submissions to government, develop standards for Australian hemp products and educate and inform new farmers and the general public about the full industrial potential of low THC industrial hemp.
Industrial hemp can fit within a farming enterprise as a dryland summer crop.
