This yearly event raises funds to support local school students further their love of music.
To date eight scholarships have been awarded, with successful recipients using the scholarship for lessons in singing or their respective choice of instrument, either at the Orange Conservatorium of Music or with private tutors.
Any school aged person who attends school in Canowindra is eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Application forms for the scholarship are available after the concert from local schools or Canowindra Pharmacy. Applications close at the end of October.
Each year the award is judged by a small committee which includes an independent judge from outside the Canowindra area.
