More than 100 people attended the Canowindra Country Women's Association (CWA) Music and Voice scholarship fundraising concert at All Saints Anglican Church on Sunday, September 8.

The year's scholarship recipient was Hayley Stephens.
The scholarship enables Hayley to have extended piano lessons, entry fee to participate in the Cowra Eisteddfod and attend speech lessons.
Hayley was very appreciative of the scholarship and said she would like to encourage other to apply.
A special treat this year was the Cantor Group from St Stanislaus who sang Will You Love Me and The Great Southland.

The CWA Community choir performed two songs.
We were also entertained by a wide verity of performances on piano, cello, guitar, vocals, poetry and speech.
The Beanshed Drama Group presented The King and the Shirt and we also enjoyed a guest appearance by Pam and Robert Byrnes with their special friends.
The CWA would like to thank the Canowindra community for again supporting this event which enables us to assist local students further their love of music and voice.
A special thank you to Judy Houghton CWA of NSW State Vice President who is next year's independent judge.

Application for 2020 scholarship are now open and available from Canowindra schools, Canowindra Pharmacy or the CWA.
Any school aged person who attends school in Canowindra is eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Applications close on November 1.
