Mocs and Docs makes "waves" in Canowindra

The Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 film festival screening returns this Saturday night after it's successful inaugural screening in 2018.

The festival's documentaries and mockumentaries all involve STEM based themes and aim to showcase and encourage people of all ages to wonder at the marvels of STEM subjects.

Festival organiser Peter Stacey said he was looking forward to the evening.

"Everyone is welcome to attend the Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 the at Moorbel Hall from 6:30pm to 9:30pm," he said.

"The movies will start at approximately 7:30pm, cost is a Gold Coin Donation on entry. There will be a sausage sizzle and movie snacks like popcorn and drinks available on the night."

Mr Stacey said the festival was proudly supported by Cabonne Council, Windowrie Wines and Newcrest's Mining's Cadia Valley Operations.

This year's signature item is "Wave", from the Science category which will be included creatively in the films.

The Country Education Foundation of Canowindra which hosts the film festival will be announcing their successful grant applicants for 2019 at the screening.

The Country Education Foundation of Canowindra was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post high school education, training and vocation aspirations.
