The top prize in the Eugowra feature was shared for the first time in its history when Major Comment (trained by David Druitt) and Redbank Cooper (Sam Hewitt) couldn't be split in a photo finish.
The race came down to a stunning finish as Hurricane Roy and Kanena Provlima helped create a line of four horses with the winning post in sight.
Hurricane Roy found space to make a dash down the inside of race leader Major Comment as the field straightened for home.

Bathurst has enjoyed a great run of results in recent editions of the cup but despite a strong presence of the city's trainers in Monday's Eugowra feature they couldn't claim the win.
Ben Settree's Kanena Provlima was the best of the Bathurst runners in fourth place, just fading out of the photo finish inside the final 50m after a gallant sprint down the outside.
It was an impressive result for Redbank Cooper who pulled through for victory after getting tangled up with Settree's better-backed hope Dark Terror earlier in the run.
The race result was delayed after Settree lodged a protest, citing an unfair advantage gained by Major Comment at the race start, but it was dismissed.
The initial score up was declared a false start after Bernie Hewitt was thrown from the gig on Alta Equus.
With the dead heat Sam Hewitt and David Druitt have both become first-time winners of the cup.
Former Canowindra driver Mat Rue had an unmemorable race, finishing in last place and 40 metres behind the winners as the pilot of Roger That.
