2019 is the fifth year that Canowindra has hosted this unique event and the concerts feature musicians of national and international standing at a variety of historic venues.
Music of the Baroque era has had a great revival of interest in recent years and it was following the ABC's top 100 Baroque in 2014 that the idea of a Baroquefest in Canowindra began to take root.
This year's event however is set to be a little bit different, with the program bringing to the stage two of Australia's foremost jazz musicians and composers, Matt Keegan and Matt McMahon.
In a group known as Elysian Fields, attendees will hear jazz and improvisation, a unique performance on a unique instrument, the electric viola da Gamba.
Formed only two years ago the group has released its first CD to critical acclaim.
As well as Keegan, McMahon and Jenny Eriksson of both Elysian Fields and The Marais Project, this year's program features Rachael Scott, David Pereira (Bach in the Dark) and the amazing Baroque Ad Hoc group from Canberra.
Check out the website, if nothing else select a concert of your choice and book it, but for ease of booking, the best buy and continued enjoyment over four concerts take a bronze pass.
It includes four concerts including Elysian Fields and the Marais Project concert at the Wallington winery luncheon - good food, good wine, good music, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic view.
