The move to the Molong District Cricket Association has paid off dividends for the Canowindra Cricket Club, with two wins helping to start the year off on a positive note for the first time in a quite a while.

The first win of the year was a 110 run victory against the Molong Magpies. Jamie Austin top scored with 44, while Griffo was the best bowler with 3/8.
Last week, though, Canwoindra took it up another level against the Molong All-Stars, with Nick Traves hitting 96 not out and Craig Carpenter hitting 50 en route to a 119 run victory.
Batting first, Canowindra put 239 runs on the board, with Traves and Carpenter's runs crucial, though Jamie Austin also put up a solid 32, only getting out while trying to up the run rate late.
The All-Stars struggled in response as Canowindra's bowlers excelled. Sammy Austin took 3/18, Logan Howell 2/8 and Austin Pengilly bowling his normal tight overs 2/33 to bowl the opposition out for 120.
