On Sunday, November 24, the golfers of the Canowindra area played in an 18 hole Stableford event. Thanks to PA & CL McKenzie Builders for sponsoring the day.
The winner was John Cousins on a countback with 40 points, while the runner up, in the narrowest of margins, was Don Taylor.
On Sunday, December 1, the first day of summer, the club organised for players to compete in an 18 hole Monthly Medal contest. The club thanks Tot Fisher for sponsoring the event.
The day's winner and medallist was Paul McKenzie on a countback with a Nett 68. Runner up was Rob Lawrence, again in another tight contest.
The club would also like to advise players that if they have matchplays to complete, they should organise to get them done as soon as possible.
Next week's event is an 18 hole, two person Ambrose Fun Day sponsored by Mick Cassidy, which promises to be an entertaining day out for the golfers in attendance.
As the end of the year approaches, the club will also be running a Christmas Party on Saturday, December 14 from 4.30pm, featuring a variety of happenings. There will be raffles, a sausage sizzle, activities for kids - including bouncy castles - and the promised appearance of Santa Claus himself, while local musician Bonny Rai will also perform live.
