Peg Muller of Canowindra turns 100

A happy celebration was held in the Canowindra CWA Hall on February 1 for the 100th birthday of Peg Muller.

Not even the 43 degree heat could ruin the celebrations that Saturday as about 40 family and friends gathered to mark the occasion, some traveling from as far as Melbourne, Albury, the North Coast and Sydney.

Her daughter Sue and son Joe are very grateful to the CWA ladies for their wonderful catering.

Moyne Aged Care staff held their own celebration on the morning of Peg's birthday and cut a cake in her honour.

Sue and Joe thanked them for their continuing excellent care provided to their mother.

After lunch, Joe, Sue and Sue's husband Robert presented Peg with her letter from the Queen, as well as letters from the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Governor General, the Local Member for Calare Andrew Gee and the Veterans Affairs Minister.

Peg was visited by all her nieces and nephews over the three days and seemed to enjoy seeing everyone.
