Bowlers from across a newly-expanded district incorporating Forbes, Parkes, Cowra, Canowindra, Manildra, Orange and Molong, met in Forbes to contest the women's singles over three days last week.
The bowling club was under Tuesday evening's downpour and players went out on Wednesday to very heavy greens.
But come Thursday, February 13 the freshly cut and rolled greens provided a beautiful playing surface for the final
Nancy defeated Judith Day from Cowra 25-18.
Deanna Noble competed very well too.
She reached the semi-finals and was defeated by Judith Day of Cowra on Wednesday afternoon, February 12.
Well done to our two Canowindra girls Nancy and Deanna.
Colleen Crump and Gwen Haydon also competed.
Betty Jenkins and Dianne Mooney were very good markers.
