Valencia boost European push with win

Valencia beat Betis 2-1 at Mestalla to keep alive hopes of finishing in the European places.
Betis dominated the first half but Kevin Gameiro put Valencia ahead on the hour.
And as Betis chased the game Valencia scored again through Dani Parejo.
Loren Moreno scored his ninth goal of the season in injury time but Valencia held on for the points.
The result left Valencia seventh and Betis 13th ahead of the weekend's remaining fixtures.
Betis midfielder Sergio Canales said after the game: "We played well but mistakes have cost us once more."
Valencia had announced on Friday that they would not be offering players up for post-match interviews after a local journalist contracted the coronavirus after covering the team in the Champions League in Italy.
Earlier on Saturday Eibar eased relegation fears with a 3-0 win over Levante.
Later Leganes face Alaves and Granada play Celta Vigo.
